Kings College Sports Hall hosted the 2025 Al Zubara Judo Challenge on the 3rd of May 2025.
Al Zubara Challenges have been developed by Blue Tigers team to foster soft skills teachings through a dedicated series of events that evolve around the moral code of Judo.
Sami Mekni, Blue Tigers technical director clarified that : “We have got two types of events : competitions (that grades based on IJF rules and evaluate technical result only) and challenges that are meant to evaluate soft skills, teach judo moral code and motivate all kids irrespective of their technical realization.”
Sami added : “today was the Zubara Challenge. For thisoccasion, we distributed the Politeness Badge. One of the 8 moral values ofJudo moral code. The objective with such events is to promote soft skills and behavioursas opposed to pure technical performance.”
Al Zubara challenges are the illustration of Blue Tigers dedicationtowards education and comprehensive youth and community development.
